Not worth it The support at the bottom of the bed broke after less than a week. After tracking down the manufacturer and ordering new leg supports those broke also. I only gave it two stars instead of one before assembly was pretty simple

Nice platform bed The bed frame is nice and strong. Was time consuming but not difficult to put together. My biggest complaint was the delivery date was several days later and past the move to previous home address and not the new one!!! That was a pain!

Meh. Poor quality contruction. Had to add plywood over slats to stabilize. Also creaks at joints from day I set up up and the center support legs slip crooked no matter home many times I straighten them. Has not collapsed yet so two stars, but I'd keep looking.

Falling apart after a month While the frame is very attractive, the support just isn't there. The slats and the legs underneath the middle have broken after one short month. It's too bad because I really liked the look.

We do not have a headboard and I do not believe the frame is designed for an attached headboard. That would seem to be confirmed in a response from an Great Offer Stock customer care rep to jac123 about the same headboard question (three queries down the page from your message): "...your best bet is to get a free standing or wall mounted head board." The bookcase headboard sold as a separate add-on is free standing. As to your second question, I do not know if the support slats, in addition to the frame, are also made from bamboo.

The slats are bamboo. The frame is not designed to accommodate a headboard. However, an upholstered headboard without legs will sit on the front of the bed frame and if you use command strips, the headboard will stick to the wall. It's worked well for me.
